Advertising

With billions of advertising messages being hurled at us every day we make sure our clients’ advertisements are seen and heard.  Whether the ad is press, outdoor, online, TV, radio, recruitment or ambient; our visual and audio designs use up to the minute quirks to give them maximum impact and eye-to-ad appeal.  The factor that runs assuredly through our ad designs is an obsession in communicating the benefits of your company, product or service to the reader. We can advise you on combinations of advertising media and will book and manage your campaigns.

Design

We LOVE design.  In one logo, leaflet, advertisement or website you can make a statement about your company.  It is your identity and the look, colours, sizes, typography……anything that says “this is us”…..should be constant throughout all of your companies’ marketing material.

Design starts with a logo and then follows through to all other communications tools ensuring that your customers get a clear and cohesive message. We want your company to look good throughout.  With our Brand-Police hats on we will design and produce eye-catching and practical material that will more than do the job for you.

Marketing Strategy

Brainstorming. It really does happen in our office. Armed with the obligatory pot of coffee, a meeting is held and ideas suggested, swapped and indeed, thrown around the room until we come up with the marketing strategy of all marketing strategies. Whether you want a full strategy to launch a product or service into a market or you want to take your business through the next few years, you can be sure that we will meet, discuss and wear the proverbial clients’ hat until we get to the answer.

Once the ideas and client hat-wearing session has resulted in some sensible and not so sensible ideas, we will retreat quietly to our desks and produce a marketing plan detailing all options, all costs and all timings ready to present to the client. Transparency of information is very important in our industry which is why we try to be as open with information and costings as possible.

Public Relations

We keep our eyes and ears open for any media or marketing opportunities that need to be exploited.

We are so nosey that not much escapes our attention including media, local and international news and what’s hot and what’s not. During the year we note all relevant features and badger the writer or editor to get a feel for what they are looking for in editorial submissions. Short of bribery (although this has been considered) just asking the right questions at the right time can help with getting all or at least part of our submission published. It’s a constant quest to build relationships with writers and editors but one to which we are whole heartedly committed

The press releases we write make the news.

Whether it’s planning an event, writing and printing the company newsletter or just some plan talking advice, you can relax in the knowledge that you can have an external PR team that feels like an internal PR team without having to put up with our funny 5 minutes.

Websites

A website for your company is a ‘must have’… you know it is. The thought of designing the website, producing the copy, constructing the site, managing it, oh and making sure it is performing at its optimum, can be a queasy and off-putting thought. DON’T PANIC, we can do all of this for you in a breath or two. Just tell us what you want to achieve and we will work with you, to your timescales and budget.

The Process

It is a combination of experience and online know-how from our website engineers and creative wow from our illustrator and graphic designers that creates innovative and unique websites that are still easy to navigate and provide the search engine keywords that matter most.

Website design actually starts in our studio with the graphic designer, watched closely by the website engineer to make sure that the designs will work in practice. Sure there are some seemingly fabulous websites but after 30 seconds of trying to get past flash intros, copy that whizzes around the page and navigation bars that seem to have lost the compass; we all get fed up and leave the site.  Our websites do the job properly - meaning they are a shop window for your business, they contain the right navigations and content and have all the background coding that makes the difference to the Search Engine robots.

The real deal can be a bit of a mine-field…..but it’s not rocket science.  Ask questions and we’ll answer them.  You’ll be a web expert by the end of it.

Online Marketing

Let’s say you want to find out about something….where do you go first? The INTERNET of course - that’s why it’s vital to get your website seen at the top of that search engine pile. With clever SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and some well managed Google AdWords, we can give you the edge over your competitors.  A great pay back from the internet is we can track what keywords attract your most desirable prospects, what online advertising copy pulled the most responses and, (most useful for e-commerce sites), what landing pages and content make the most money for you. We specialise in pushing the internet as far as possible to increase those ever important visits to your website.

Call in our Google Goddess

The easy way to get the most from AdWords is to use the services of Concept's Google Advertising Professional, leaving you safe in the knowledge you are getting a professionally run advertising campaign from someone that has proven credentials at getting the best results. Effective campaigns can be up and running in next to no time and sometimes with surprisingly low budgets. All you have to do is take the calls, enquiries and orders.

About

If you are looking for a marketing agency that firstly listens, secondly can offer comprehensive marketing plans and then fully implement them, you’ve come to the right place.

And it doesn’t stop there - our aim is to become part of your team.

Here comes the cliché you hear from all design, advertising, web, online and PR agencies but we’re going to use it with gusto

because we mean it

work with Concept and you will get a team of senior marketers and creatives that are passionate and proven.

Services include: marketing strategy and implementation, design, advertising, media planning, website design and construction, online marketing and PR.

Bob Wooding: Chairman

Bob has been at the forefront of building Concept since the 70's when communications were as colourful as the fashion. Concept has moved with the trends to meet the needs of a much more sophisticated and media wise client. Across the years, Bob has worked with numerous clients, particularly within the construction, manufacturing and engineering industries.  You’ll probably meet him at a meeting, you could possibly bump into him at a Worcestershire social gathering and you will definitely always have contact with him.

Jo Wright: Managing Director

12 years ago Jo started her marketing career on the client side and still very firmly wears this hat.  She concentrates on building clients’ marketing strategies then swiftly moves to implementation and evaluation.  Jo also specialises in PR. With time spent at ITV Digital TV broadcasting and experience of working with BBC Radio One, she knows how to build relationships with the media, and uses this experience to make sure that she generates as much interest for you as possible.

Put all of this into a bag and shake it all about, you’ve got a hokey-cokey MD who understands where you are coming from.

Jo Taylor: Production Manager

Jo is our woman in the know. With Concept since 1995, she is the backbone of the team and there isn't much she doesn't know about print, production and online marketing. She has worked on all sorts of marketing communications including catalogues and brochures, advertisements, websites, exhibition stands and promotional material. And to top it all off she is also our Google Advertising Professional – or, as we like to call her, our Google Goddess.

Jason Band: Creative Director

Flying a Mac with a gregarious shirt on (and goggles if we’d let him), Jason is a man who can really multi-task. He relishes a blank screen that is awaiting the injection of creative enlightenment. Having worked with the likes of Karndean International, Heart of England Tourist Board and London Underground, Jason is experienced in the design of ads, leaflets, catalogues, brochures, websites, company identities, mailshots, displays, exhibition stands - you name it, he's done it.

Steve Ward: Illustrator/Graphic Designer

The newbie of the team, Steve is our illustrator come graphic designer. Producing impressive drawings and then breathing graphic life into them is what this guy does best. Graduating from Staffordshire University in Advertising and Brand Management, Steve is able to sketch pretty much anything our imaginations can come up with; be it cartoons, product designs or eye catching corporate IDs.  Boy this young man can draw.

Dino D'Amore: Web Designer and Developer

Addicted to all things high-tech, Dino is our web guru and is happiest when building websites. Whether you want a website, online marketing, website maintenance or optimisation, in fact any kind of electronic media, he will talk you through the options in plain English….even though he’s Italian!

Gill Wooding: Finance Director

A business doesn't flourish for over 35 years without organisation, structure and accounting. Gill maintains the smooth running of Concept through office and financial administration, keeping everything on track and us in order.

Alex: Intern

Alex is our super duper intern who has just returned back to us from the big smoke, having done a 2 month placement with corporate giant KPMG. We battled with them to get her back and thank goodness she’s here, with her invaluable support, laughter, and marketing insight above her years.

PR

The Client

Parkinson Wright LLP, a firm of solicitors

The Brief

Increase the firm’s market share via a cohesive marketing strategy with emphasis on PR.

The Process

As a leading, well established firm of solicitors with over 80 employees it was imperative that their PR presence had a leading tone, educational foresight and humanising elements that would be of interest to the Worcestershire public.

Although traditional press releases form a large part of Parkinson Wright's PR strategy, our approach is all encompassing and considers 'relations with their publics' from the tone of copywriting, the use of social media and exhibition stand management to internal communications, involvement with corporate entertainment and overall company strategy. The PR strategy is fully integrated into the Parkinson Wright marketing strategy and the Concept team is an integral part of this.

The Result

Parkinson Wright's relationship with its public is now more dynamic with an approachable tone.

Client

Leukaemia Care

Brief

Leukaemia Care, like many charities, is entirely financed by public donations therefore you can appreciate how vital it is to maintain a prominence with the public eye. Understanding that advertising can be eye wateringly expensive Leukaemia Care contracted us to produce a shoe-string PR strategy with the objective of raising the charity’s profile.

Process

Press coverage… really that’s all we need to say. We conducted telephone interviews with members of the public that were linked to Leukaemia Care and who had a newsworthy story.  Local press publications across the country were contacted and sent the press release relevant to that area.

The Result

By putting in experienced quality time into research and planning, the reward was coverage on a national scale. Remembering this programme was on a super tight budget, we successfully raised awareness.

The Testimonial

Nick Martin, Leukaemia CARE's Marketing Officer, said "We chose Concept because of their can-do attitude and they have certainly been getting the job done since we starting working with them. I’m impressed at how fast and energetic they’ve been! We have high hopes that together we’ll be able to reach even more patients, carers and fundraisers; which at the end of the day, is what we are all about."

The Client

QRS Quality Registration Services, a trade show registration Company.

The Brief

To position QRS as a market leader in trade show registration software and implementation.

The Process

Due to this client's specialised industry it was imperative to get the key vertical market publications right. Swiftly progressing from this stage, we made contact with the editors of relevant publications and tracked upcoming feature lists. This put us in the ideal position for aligning a press release to the tone and subject matter of the upcoming issue.

The Result

The scheduled PR programme ensured that important company information, developments and case studies received continuous exposure which raised QRS’ profile during the year.

Corporate Identity

The Client

Cleeve Hill Healthcare Limited

The Brief

Refresh the company image of this successful and expanding healthcare provider.

The Process

The logo needed to communicate the highly professional yet approachable nature of the nursing home, including all elements of the group – nursing homes, home care and 24 hour live in care.  The daffodil imagery has become well known across 5 counties and so an evolvement of this into brighter colours was adopted; freshening and pushing the brand to a wider, younger target market.

New colour palettes and a unique coupling of bespoke illustration with photography gives Cleeve Hill Healthcare a creative edge against its competitors.

The Result

Our marketing management of the Cleeve Hill Healthcare group for the past 8 years has led to year and year growth.  The new branding has been implemented across stationery and advertisements and soon its 5 websites; with the objective of ensuring this continued growth.

The Client

Goodwill Trophy Company

The Brief

Redesign corporate branding that will appeal to retailers and design and production of 132 page catalogue.

The Process

Goodwill only sells to retail, many independent that need a flexible approach.  The logo incorporates a subliminal GTC and a cup icon which can be used independently or together and can be easily embossed onto trophies.

The trophy industry is led by fashion – the latest football boot and ball designs.  It’s no surprise then, that the annual 132 page catalogue is influenced by cat-walk colourways and trends and this is the starting point for the front page design.   Product layouts are planned meticulously and involve exceptional client account management and attention to detail.

The Result

The 2010/11 catalogue competitive tender was won by Concept and was delivered on time and on budget.  The 2011/12 catalogue is now underway with new trophy designs and up to the minute product layouts.

The Client

Mzuri

The Brief

Give this agricultural machinery designer an instantly recognisable image.

The Process

We chose black and orange for Mzuri’s colours and a typeface that included a unique tractor-tyre style ‘M’.  This branding was rolled out onto stationery, sales leaflets and a website.

The Result

The combination of Mzuri’s immense market knowledge and a powerful brand identity has resulted in immediate impact in the close-knit industry, the director achieved front page lead on Farmers Weekly and orders for the new tillage machine are secured.

Websites

The Client

Startin Group

The Brief

Design and construct an interactive website incorporating the Honda, Skoda, Peugeot, Fiat, Subaru and Isuzu brands that is easy to update and navigate.

The Process

As with most car dealerships, the forecourt changes on a weekly if not daily basis so our approach needed to take this into account.  The new interactive design cleverly utilises a car stock database which automatically displays the current cars without manual data input (da-dah!). The database is dependent on programmed in factors regarding car images, data and prices. This keeps the content fresh and up to date at all times.

The Result

This interactivity improves car sales by utilising website search engine optimisation, giving visitors streamed information.

The Client

D-Drill Master Drillers Ltd

The Brief

Create a new website that maximises search engine optimisation and increases traffic via Google AdWords.

The Process

We used D-Drill’s suppliers’ professional photography of drill and machines to give the website more artistic appeal.  We conduct monthly search engine optimisation to achieve a consistently high organic search place and run a comprehensive Google AdWords campaign, linked to different telephone numbers for tracking and return on investment.

The Result

Over 25% of D-Drill’s Google AdWord ‘clicks’ result in follow up phone calls placing orders or enquiries.

Testimonials

"The online advertising you are doing for us is working - we are getting more enquiries through our website than ever before - thank you and keep up the good work!"

Martin Meredith, Rowan UK Ltd, Hartlebury | Rowan UK

"We chose Concept because of their can-do attitude and they have certainly been getting the job done since we starting working with them. I’m impressed at how fast and energetic they’ve been! We have high hopes that together we’ll be able to reach even more patients, carers and fundraisers; which at the end of the day, is what we are all about.";

Gemma Harris, PR & Marketing Officer | Leukaemia CARE

"As a Marketing Executive working at a busy and successful Honda Car dealership, it took me four years to finally come round to using a regular Marketing Consultancy. In Concept I found a reliable trustworthy company who are experts in their field and very knowledgeable in others!

By using Concept I have been able to explore routes that had previously been out of reach of my own skills and helped grow our business. By sticking with them we have developed a vested interest in each others success, they know the 'tone of voice' that we portray and how to get that across in all forms of media.

How can I validate this? I have waited two years before writing my comments... My recommendations don’t come lightly so if you’re considering an agency then you have just found the right one.

Thank you again."

Ian Wild AMIMI Marketing Executive | Startin Honda, Worcester

"Thank you so much for your time on our artwork – it's perfect! I can start creating posters now to promote the raffle – we hope to raise £32,000 from it this year which will help us to continue providing our free of charge care to patients with a life threatening illness in Worcestershire and supporting their families. Thank you again."

Joanna Street | St. Richard’s Hospice

"We used Concept to redesign our website and are extremely pleased with both the service and the finished website. The site has been live now for just under a week and has already generated new enquiries. The level of communication from start to finish has been excellent and being told that they only on the end of the phone if we have any difficulties is very reassuring! Overall we couldn't be happier and would recommend Concept to anyone! Thanks for all your help!"

Serena | TS Packaging, Droitwich

"Excellent. Thanks for all your help. You and the team there have been great. Not that I get stressed, but I know if I'd been working with anybody else it might have been a bit more difficult. You've been fantastically understanding and we've got an excellent result. The managers are hailing this as The Best Mailer Ever, so I'm chuffed with it. Thanks again."
